Parallel Currents
Out of this reconfiguration, humanity itself diverged. Some fused with the system until they were inseparable from it, existing both in body and in circuitry. Others flowed with the cycles of algorithmic life, persuaded that their guided choices were freedom. Some stepped aside, quietly, building lives outside the game altogether. Three realities, side by side. Three rhythms of being, moving in parallel, rarely touching. Without effort, they keep the world in balance. Separated into layers of existence that do not translate across their borders.
