This standalone poem is a fragment of a larger dystopian art project the Hush Halo, where poetry, audio, and visual art converge into one unfolding tale of new realm.
Wow. This feels so Sci-Fi and dystopian as you mentioned. I love what you are doing with the audio. The tonality of your voice and the background sounds are really working well for the poem. I am not able to grasp the entire meaning of the poem and I love that. Adds to the allure and mystery of it, which makes me conjure up an image of my own.
This is what I feel is happening in this poem, I could be wrong though -
I feel it is about humans who are half-robots or about Robots who have conciousness. So this is about the first time it (he/she) has recieved a (software?) update. It is a relief, but at the same time she has no idea of what she has lost. Her sensors dulled, hence no resistance, thereby no alarm was raised. The dilemma here is that, is that - "Was she eased, because she was erased." With a single update, all her memories, rebellious thoughts, struggle - deleted even from the recycle bin. I feel like this is a rebel robot/human, who was captured by this dystopian panopticon society and it's memories are erased, in order to re-integrate it into the system. Making it forget it's rebellion.
It's pure and personal angst about AI and trying to make sense of it all. I went quite deep into the rabbit hole, learning about different outcomes. (I got really scared too.)
Eventually, I figured there's very little I can do about the big picture. I started imagining what would need to happen to get a positive outcome out of the upcoming mess.
So I started this dystopian/utopian poetry series with ambitious intentions. Mainly to make some sense of it all, and maybe also to distract myself with arting.
I want to write about this journey and my process more in future. So far I just have a why-statement here:

This is an amazing dystopian concept for a story, and love how your poetic lines bring this story together.
Thank you Kassi! 🫠 Your feedback means a lot to me.
It's lonesome to write, although it gets very busy in my head sometimes. I am really bad judge for my own stuff, so… 🙏
This is a neat concept for a poetry book. How did you get started on this project? What inspired you?

🙌Don't know if this makes any sense to anyone else, but - - my circus, my monkeys. 🙌
I love the why behind your project. Truly powerful!
Wow, I really dig this. I think poetry works so well in an audio medium, but I haven't heard one yet which blends musical and visual elements.
Excuse me while I lose myself in more of your instalments...
I appreciate your kind feedback, especially here in my early stages as a Substacker...
sorry I might have blown up your inbox/phone as I went through every single poem you have here 😅
Oh, my pleasure! 😀
I try to publish daily, so maybe we'll meet again? ☀️
I think we might
