The cover is badass, for real! It's luring and makes me want to definitely thumb through the pages (which I'm already excited to do anyway). 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 You did it! The date is almost here! Bask in your excellence!

Congrats! It takes dedication to get this far. It takes dedication to get to the end.

What you mention is real - that desire to start the next book before finishing the current book. And, the danger of doing that and not finishing your current book is real.

Series are probably an exception since I see excerpts from the next book often in the current book. Still, it takes discipline to finish publishing the current book.

I cheat. I work on between 10 and 30 books at a time, depending on my mood. They each get their turn more or less. And, they get published, all in due time. Yet, I recently found myself chastising myself for not spending enough time on one of them. The book is pretty well finished, but I need to get a synopsis to someone else before I publish. Luckily, they aren't pressuring me for that. Still, I promised it to them. And, am I working on it and only it? No.

But, I have my excuses: I need long enough periods of time to work on it. I have fresh material for a different book. The list goes on.

I do need to get back to that book. At the same time, I need to be nice to myself. I also need to not interfere too much with the muse. At the same time, the muse needs to be reasonable :)
