Dopamine App
No farewell no silence after, just another ringtone replacing real laughter. A cute tune that sounds the same, but hollow, like an echo to follow. As a puppet, you laugh at cues: right on time, to amuse. Joy became a rehearsed sparks – a dopamine app for dulls and darks.

CONTEXT
After the Great Optimisation a privileged group of people wired themselves tightly into the system by aligning with it and fully integrating. Systoics believe they’ve perfected themselves by stripping away everything that slows them down.
ABOUT
This standalone poem is a fragment of my dystopian fantasy collection The Hush Halo, where poetry, soundscapes, and visual art converge into one unfolding tale.

Your writing says thoughts that I am thinking from time to time but you write them so well.
Love this! Especially enjoyed the audio recording. The rhythmic, gentle lilt of your voice and the humming sound at the end were very compelling. Well done!
