What is Hush Halo?
Hush Halo is both a personal art publication and a developing book series. Concept leads with speculative, dystopian poetry and near future sci-fi storytelling.
Hush Halo is about technology, humanity, identity, and the strange direction the world sometimes feels like itâs heading toward.
In Hush Halo, I combine poetry, soundscapes (audio), and visual storytelling. I call this immersive art form: Poetry with a Pulse.
CONTEXT
After the Great Optimization, a privileged faction known as the Systoics wired themselves fully into the system. By stripping away everything inefficient, painful, or unpredictable, they believed they had perfected the human form.

Hush Halo is multifaceted project. Each poem has an unique soundscape. All books have poetry with actual soundscapes, too.

What is behind the Paywall?
Poems, that are published on printed books.

Who is Sam Oldman?
Call me Sam. For privacy reasons, I work under the pen name Samia Oldman, or simply Sam Oldman.
Iâm a writer and creative currently working with speculative poetry and various art projects. English was not my first language. So when you spot a typo, just smile.
Iâm halfway to a hundred, a mother of two boys (2008 and 2015), and I write poetry and articles here almost daily. When Iâm not writing, Iâm usually cooking, painting, crocheting, or making something with my hands.

Why this name? Honestly, when this project started, I was pretty pissed off at AI and, more specifically, Sam Altman. I figured it would be funny to mess around with the name a little, so here we are.
Why I Write?
I started Hush Halo while trying to process my own thoughts around technology, creativity, identity, and modern life. Over time, it slowly turned into a much bigger concept and story world. I create this project because poetry sometimes says things more honestly than direct explanations ever could.

My Creative Process
All poetry and written content in written by me. I also paint, draw, and create crafts traditionally. If you see paintings, drawings, or handmade work here or on my Instagram, those are my own creations as well. Learn more about my creative process on Writerâs Updates and My How.
Most visuals are created with Midjourney, both images and videos. I mainly use them as illustrative support for my work. I donât consider these as artwork.
The immersive soundscapes are created with Suno, so the singing voice is not mine. I use the tool to build atmosphere and emotional tone around the poems.

I self-publish 100%. All digital and printed content is created by me, including all editing and design work: concept design, book design, cover design. I do my own websites, online store, newsletters, brand work and merchandise. Iâm open for project work.

Printed books are available on Hush Halo Amazon as paperbacks. My SHOP offers Hush Halo eBooks, that are downloadable in PDF format. These are print replicas in PDF format, not digitized.
All books in any format have QR codes that lead to immersive soundscapes paired with the poems.
